Tony Pan is the Executive Director of Chengdu government, responsible for foreign affairs, global cooperation and One Belt One Road Initiative of Chengdu Hi-tech Zone. Prior to this position, Tony was Chengdu’s Chief Representative to Beijing, Shanghai and San Francisco. Tony Pan has been serving in Chinese government for over 15 years helping multinational companies invest and do business in China. Tony is proved capable of bridging between western and Chinese cultures and particularly solving thorny problems. He possesses strong capability of both coordinating senior officials of Chinese governments and MNC top management, and transforming western business practice into a compliant Chinese style. Tony was one of the key persons helping Intel, Dell, Medtronic and Texas Instruments for their hundreds of millions of investment in Sichuan Province. In particular, Tony played a key role during the acquisition of Chengdu wafer fab by Texas Instruments. Tony is an expert on Chinese government affairs and compliance strategy for foreign companies. During his stay in the US, Tony was often invited for speeches on Chinese development strategy, government affairs and regulatory compliance by JP Morgan and Bloomberg.
